En Hermosillo treintaycinco grados es fresco.

En Hermosillo ya "está fresquito" y aunque para los que no viven en el desierto treintaycinco grados no es fresco, acá estamos respirando el tan anhelado aire fresco. Ya nos hacía falta no estar a cuarentaycinco grados a las nueve de la noche.

Se preguntarán ¿para qué tanto preambulo? Les quiero contar que con los vientos frescos me han regresado las ganas de hornear. En realidad nunca se habían ido pero es dificil tener ganas cuando lo único que quieres hacer es comer raspados y sentarte a reflexionar por qué decidiste regresar a una ciudad donde son normales los cincuenta grados en verano.

Entonces, me he dispuesto a hornear mínimo tres veces por semana (no se vale repetir recetas) porque dicen que no eres experto en algo hasta que le hayas dedicado mínimo diezmil horas.

Overpriced shit I wouldn't buy...but still want: Balloon Edition

If you know me you know I like balloons a lot, I would honestly prefer a 12 balloons than 12 red roses. So a few weeks ago I stumbled upon unelefante.mx, a mexican online store specialized in balloons, really really expensive balloons. $500+ pesos (around 38 dollars) expensive.

 

You could ask why they are so expensive when its practically a sack full of human breath, I would like to answer your questions, but sadly, I have no answer. I looked on the website for an explanation. Maybe the balloons wont deflate for a year? Maybe when they pop they will have magical confetti inside? Oh... and they charge for shipping. Yep.

And then, browsing through the most recent Anthropologie Sale e-mail, I fount this:

This one retails for 68 dollars

Is this some sort of trend? Is there a market out there for a seriously overpriced balloons?

Does the balloon arrive inflated?
